We finally got to see the all new 2017 Can Am Maverick X3 hit the track and we must say that it is a game changer. It all went down at the 2016 Pro UTV Racing Short Course Finals at West Georgia Mud Park in Tallapoosa, GA. The Turbocharged 3 cylinder engine of the X3 Maverick puts out some impressive power easily clearing the table tops on the track and landings are plush thanks to gobs of wheel travel at each corner. This was a stock machine with computer reflash to give it around 30 more horsepower. It walked away from the competition and took the overall win for the day. We didn't get to see it get to it's top speed but we can only imagine that it is impressive. It looks like it will dominate the short course with ease vs a Polaris RZR Turbo. We can't wait to see more of these machines getting modifed and finding the weak links. Cole Shirley of Madram11 decided to do some short course racing with the Pro UTV Series during their 2016 Finals at West Georgia Mud Park. He started of the race in his own Polaris RZR XP 1000 and wrecked hard into the second turn. He collected his parts and headed back to the starting line. He wasn't done though. He hopped in Tripp Pullen's brand new Can Am Maverick X3 ro race the turbo class and proceeded to do the same thing in the same corner. Luckily it didn't do a ton of damage to either machine. The interview at the end is priceless. We hope this isn't the last time we see Cole out on the track. It looks like the Can Am Maverick X3 is pretty competitive vs the Polaris RZR XP Turbo. Can't wait to see some hill climb competition between these to machines.
