Unlike the usual on-ride videos we post (link below), this time we kept the camera level with the horizon throughout the ride for a slightly different Point Of View. It's one of over 30 B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard) inverted coasters currently operating at parks the world over and although it opened 23 years ago (1996), it remains one of the best inverts the company has ever made. Meaning roar in Swahili, Kumba is a 143 foot (43.5m) tall B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard) sit-down coaster with seven inversions, including a 114 foot (35m) tall vertical loop, a dive loop, a zero-g roll, a cobra roll and two interlocking corkscrews. This Intamin triple LSM launch coaster set a new bar for family friendly coasters when it opened in 2011. Reaching a top speed of 60 mph (96.5 km/h), with a 102-foot (31m) hill that has a 130 foot (39.5m) drop into a trench, riders cross above the Sky Ride attraction before completing the ride's only inversion, a heartline roll.
