British Extreme Enduro 2022 season premier Rd 1 Tong witnessed to a true challenge against the severe weather conditions of UK’s finest. Despite the heavy rain and cold weather both the participation and the fans were great. World Hard Enduro champion Billy Bolt and UK’s finest extreme enduro riders put a great show during the PM race. After 2h30m it was Billy Bolt who claimed the victory. Young talent Jack Price came in P2 and Jonathan Richardson P3. Racing Sunday started with AM Race with 104 competitors hitting the track with enthusiasm. AM Race lasted 2h and it was won by Henry Life. He was followed by Charlie Crossland with P2 and Garry McCoy with P3. ACU’s British Extreme Enduro Championship 2022 season debuted with Round 1 Tong with more than 150 competitors including world hard enduro champion Billy Bolt. Heavy rain cold weather made it really hard for everyone but the enthusiasm kept us all warm enough to hang in. This year’s Tong surprised us with a track update to the conventional one that we knew over the years. With the new format the track got longer with really nice bits but it kept signature sectors like the tricky waterfall. PM race started 12:30 local time and the challenge continued for two and a half hours. Billy Bolt had a good start and started stretching his lead but early in the race he lost his front brake. He then had to ride cautiously and so Jack Price caught him around the halfway but he managed to bring the victory home. ✦✦✦ Podium ✦✦✦ 1. Billy Bolt – 7 Laps – 2h30m06s 2. The Tough One 2021 witnessed a unique racing moment with FIM World Hard Enduro Champion Billy Bolt and David Knight MBE lined up for the trophy at the Nantmawr Quarry - United Kingdom. Charlie Frost was kind enough to wear our GoPro to get you this excellent racing content to enjoy. Unlike his normal 300 2T bike setup he had to borrow his brother’s 350 4T and that had an effect for sure. Charlie came in P6 in the end and this is his second lap into the race. Charlie’s Post race comment; “Unfortunately, I am without a Gas Gas at the moment due to unavailability of them so borrowed my brothers 350 4T for the Tough One- obviously not the desired choice of weapon for the event but better than nothing. It wasn’t the easiest of bikes to try and man handle around the course- with it being a 4 stroke it wanted to stall on the technical sections which made life hard for me, but I struggled on for a 6th place Pro class finish. Wasn’t my finest riding and felt capable of a higher position finishing but the bike held me back. Never the less it was a fun atmosphere and a great race thanks to Steve Ireland and the WOR Events team.” After 2h battle in and around the quarry Billy Bolt claimed the victory although he had to enter the race with a sore arm left from recent injury he had. The action at the British Extreme Enduro Championship moved to Cowm Quarry for Round 2 on the 15th of May. Unlike Round 1 we had last season’s champion Billy Bolt back on the starting line. Cowm Quarry’s known rocky surface and technical hill climbs became even trickier with heavy rain during PM race.   Rockstar Husqvarna’s reigning champion (BEEC 2020) Billy Bolt made his season debut with a clear victory over the round. After a tough 2h30m run he was the only rider to complete 12 laps.   Team Steer (Sherco) rider Joe Deakin came in P2 and Jarvis Racing rider Jonathan Richardson P3.   Round 1 Extreme Ravines winner and the overall leader William Hoare finished the race with P4.   Post Race Comments Billy Bolt “Very nice racing today. It was good practise especially after last weekend riding in the mud and it is nice to be back in England. No real mistakes. Because I didn’t walk the track, I just kept it steady for the first couple of laps and then pushed on till the end.” Jonathan Richardson “The race in general was good Today. I had a bad start and felt down to P9 I guess. At the first couple of laps, I was like chilling and then I got get going, started to recover the positions. Towards the end I was getting lap times close to Billy. ACU’s British Extreme Enduro Championship kicked off with Round 1 Mini Ravines past weekend. Missing factory riders was sad but still the starting grid for Pro Class was exciting especially with team Jarvis Racing.   The course was a 30km loop. Clubmen, Sportsmen/Veterans and Youth run for one lap, Pro, Expert and Elite Veterans for two.   PM Race witnessed a great challenge between William Hoare and Jonathan Richardson. The two were in a battle for the lead and it went back and forth between the two. In the end it was William Hoare who passed the chequered flag. Jonathan Richardson came in P2 and Teodor Kabakchiev P3.   MINI RAVINES PODIUM P1 – William Hoare P2 – Jonathan Richardson P3 – Teodor Kabakchiev   Important Note: Becasue UK imposes mandatory quarantine for ten days we decided not to go but hire professionals to do the job for us. Not the best outcome we expected but still we had something to serve to our beloved audience. British Extreme Enduro Championship, Round 2 Cowm Leisure was held in Rochdale on 16th of February. The main event of the day was the glamorous PM race with all the great talents including general standings leader Billy Bolt and KTM’s Jonny Walker. The race was threatened by a huge and destructive storm called “Dennis”. Luckily it was cleared mostly in the race morning and 175 riders and organizer took a sigh of relief. The heavy rain, received in the night, in combination with British soil made it pretty hard for all contenders and therefor we witnessed a true struggle. Just like in the Round 1 Tong Rockstar Husqvarna’s Billy Bolt claimed a clear victory over the rest and kept himself on top of general standings as we head to the Round 3, H20. Jonny Walker got his 2nd consecutive P2 and William Hoare P3. Taddy Blazusiak, unlike Round 1, missed the line-up as it wasn’t a priority championship to follow for him.
