Made it out to Keystone with a heavy crew for some snowboarding on Halloween. I found some great conditions for a mob carving session, made some turns, dug some trenches, sprayed some snow, but I was also able to catch up with some awesome people and have a bit of gear talk. Let me know what snowboard you're using this season for carving/freeride down in the comments, thanks for watching.

The Beast lives up to its name, and is an aggressive all-mountain/freestyle snowboard that will come through for even the hardest charging riders. Featuring a full positive camber profile and stiff flex, this snowboard will stand up to the largest features in the park as well as hold it's own as you explore the rest of the mountain. The biggest highlights I found on the Beast is the amount of stability that it offers, really allowing you to trust that the board will be there for you in sketchy situations, as well as pop. This is a lot of snowboard to handle with lots of energy and feedback, and I would recommend it for more advanced riders that want something solid to rip around on. Let me know your thoughts in the comments, thanks for watching.

The YES Greats is a high performing all-mountain/freestyle snowboard that packs in lots of tech and is capable of ripping the whole mountain. Starting with a true twin shape, cam-rock profile, and mid flex, complemented by an asymmetrical sidecut and "midbite" additional conact points this board offers stability and grip on variable terrain while still being fun for jibbing and butters. I really enjoyed the versatility this board offers and believe this would be a great option for the rider who wants to ride it all, and spends a good amount of time in the park. The blend of stability and flex makes this board really fun, and the grip the midbite gives you was a cool bonus as well, let me know what you think of the YES Greats snowboard in the comments. Thanks for watching.

The GNU Antigravity is a late release snowboard for the 18/19 season in collboration with evo. This snowboard will be a general production snowboard for GNU next season and you're going to get a lot of value for the price. The Antigravity snowboard features a positive camber profile (GNU's C3 profile) providing you with a powerful, precise and in control feel, as well as 7 point Magne Traction and a medium-stiff flex to give you the grip and stability you want. It is a directional all-mountain snowboard and runs a directional shape, setback stance, and small taper to help give this snowboard a bit of float on those deeper days without compromising switch riding too much. I will say that this snowboard does have a slightly different feeling when riding switch though, but is very manageable when you need to ride switch. Overall I think this is a great all-mountain snowboard that is going to be capable in most situations, and thrives in technical terrain. Let us know what you think about the Antigravity in the comments, thanks for watching.

The Capita Mercury is a snowboard that is ready to rip anywhere, anytime, and Jackson Hole provided some excellent conditions to test this one out. We found technical big mountain lines in Corbet's Couloir, smooth powder, rock drops, and tree lines while exploring throughout the day. The Mercury features a directional twin shape, slight setback, camrock camber profile, and medium stiff flex; this offers solid performance in a wide variety of conditions with minimal compromise. The versatility of this snowboard stood out to me, as well as its very fast base, and significant amounts of stability. While this isn't a powder specific snowboard it will be manageable in powder if you set the stance back, and will also work well in the terrain park although I would say it leans towards the jump side of the spectrum when it comes to freestyle riding. Overall I was very impressed with the performance of the Mercury and would recommend it to more advanced riders interested in this style of snowboard. Let us know what you think of the Capita Mercury snowboard in the comments, thanks for watching.

The Marhar Lumberjack has two main features that make it a unique all-mountain freestyle snowboard. First it is a very wide snowboard sitting at 276mm at the waist, this is going to allow you to lay over aggressive carves as well as make it a good option for those of you running larger boot sizes. It also features a cool technology exclusive to Marhar called sideways rocker; this is exactly what is sounds like and gives the board a more surfy feel while also making edge to edge transitions smooth and quick despite the width. The Lumberjack is a true twin snowboard so it doesn't offer much to enhance float, but this does make the board more freestyle friendly and also allows you to carve and ride switch with ease. Overall I think the Lumberjack is a fun and versatile snowboard that stands out thanks to its naturally wide waist and sideways rocker technology, let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks for watching.

The tree's at Rusutsu resort in Japan are something special, and provided excellent terrain to test out the Gentemstick XY Snowboard. Throughout the day we were able to find copious amounts of powder, a variety of drops, and even a few tree jibs which is something we never really come across. The XY performed really well in these conditions providing excellent float and lots of stability. The board features a directional shape with a very long nose and short tail outside the contact points, a taper, setback stance, as well as a very wide shape; all of these features help give this board float. Gentemstick gave this board a full camber profile with a rockered nose, as well as a large sidecut radius to complement the width which also makes this snowboard very fun for carving. The biggest highlights for me on this snowboard is the combination of float and stability that it offers, and the fact that it is locally produced in Niseko. Let us know what you think in the comments, thanks for watching.

Japan has been coming through with some amazing snow, and today at Annupuri resort we found perfect conditions to test the Bataleon Surfer snowboard. We spent the whole day taking laps out gate G2 finding a variety of lines that offered open fields, tree runs, and fun drops. The Bataleon Surfer provided unsinkable float, maneuverability in powder, arched turns on groomers, and a surprising amount of stability and pop. A couple of the highlights on this board are the Powder 3BT from Bataleon which allows this snowboard to transition quickly from edge to edge while also assisting with float, the full positive camber profile for stability, and the swallow tail assisting with keeping the nose up and making quick turns in powder, as well as giving this board a very unique look. This has been one of my favorite powder boards I've ridden to date, let me know what you think in the comments. Thanks for watching.

The Lib Tech Orca is a very fun and unique snowboard. Featuring a rocker dominant profile with camber zones under foot, directional shape, taper, setback, magne traction, and naturally wide waist width, the Orca provides a ride that is hard to match in the powder and steeps. This snowboard is going to offer tons of float in powder, while still coming through with the stability you need in those more technical and high impact situations. With its width the Orca is also going to be a lot of fun for carving, and is an all around freeride killer. I really enjoyed this one, and would recommend it for more advanced riders that are into this style of snowboarding. Let me know what you think about the Orca in the comments, thanks for watching.

After making it up Peak chair we found an interesting mix of steep and technical terrain, leading us into powder pockets, trees, and groomers. This offered solid terrain to really feel out the Nitro Squash snowboard, and I think it held up really well. The Squash felt solid through the steep moguls thanks to its mid flex and positive camber profile, while also offering effortless float and quick turns in powder with its short swallow tail. My favorite thing about the Squash is the mix of float, maneuverability, and stability that it offers making this a very versatile snowboard. All in all I think the squash is a great powder specific board that will still hold up well for freeriding and carving, as well as through the trees. Shoutout to Comor Sports for loaning us the board for the day, and let us know what you think about the Squash down in the comments! Thanks for watching.

The Marhar Woodsman is a surfy directional powder snowboard that delivers tons of float. The 27cm waist width also makes this board fun for carving groomers when the powder isn’t available, and it’s short tail offers quick maneuverability through trees and tight squeezes. My favorite feature is the sideways rocker that really gives a unique surfy feel to the board, while also making edge transitions nice and quick. Let me know what you think down below, thanks for watching.
