I've owned many different pairs of Union snowboard bindings in the past including the Atlas, Strata, Force and Contact Pro models. What I think makes Union snowboarding bindings special is the combination of function and style. The factory really exceeded my expectation seeing the amount of planning and development goes into each model. I was really blow away by the number of collab bindings Union has done with other businesses in snowboarding. To test them out we had some slushy conditions, which helped get more pressure in the bindings, and we were lapping the Pali chair at Arapahoe Basin in Colorado. This chair accesses some fun groomed and ungroomed terrain, trees, and 2 terrain parks. The Union Contact is the softest and most tweakable binding of the three, and I found the Atlas to be the most responsive. As you go up from softer to stiffer bindings you are basically trading tweakability for support and responsiveness.
