Streetcar Takeover’s event at Bandimere Speedway in Denver, Colorado brings us awesome new builds year after year. This time we crossed paths with a V8 Mercedes E55 which didn’t sound like the V8 note we’ve come to expect out of E55, making it a car we had to make our way over to. While it’s not so surprising post-event, we were pleasantly surprised by what we saw when he popped the hood! Rich Rebuilds and I bought a Chevrolet Spark EV at the Copart Salvage Auction totally sight unseen in Illinois. The Spark EV is one of the fastest Chevy EVs ever released. I had it shipped down and our plan is to convert our Domino's DXP Pizza Car to the electric car making it the best of both worlds. It was such a blast to watch this smokey little c10 truck improve day by day at Drag Week, equipped with a P pump 24V Cummins! Seeing a driver get to know his new set-up for the first time is always fun to witness, ESPECIALLY when they keep finding ways to go faster! Hopefully we’ll see some solid single-digit passes next year! He discovered at the end of the trip that his new, smaller turbo was actually the correct size but the wrong part number of the two, he received a turbo that spins the OPPOSITE way than it was supposed to, so it was actually stealing boost from the larger turbo. We can't wait to see it in the future, and quite a bit quicker!!!
