This was a once in a lifetime catch! The day started slow and ended with a bang! ↓↓more info↓↓ This was a fluke catch where I had a small Dolphin fish hooked up to my skirted lure and this big bull came charging through and head-butted the line. The line was then sliced through his forehead and with tension from the small fish he was unable to swim free of the line. It's never a dull moment on the water, bit of a mixed basket on this occasion and I caught my PB Snapper out at the 50-fathom mark off the Gold Coast of Australia. Not much of a fight on heavy gear but defiantly a nice surprise to bring her up and super tasty, on this occasion I kept this fish as I wasn't sure if she would go back nicely. Wednesday Hump day was a great day to test out the new offshore boat so we headed out the 50-fathom mark off the Gold coast of Australia. ↓↓ More Info below ↓↓ Yellow Tail Kingfish was our target species, first, we prospected the drift line with heavy jigs in 85 m of water and then settled in for the lazy drift with butterflied baits.
