Let's shoot some rifle rounds through pistol armor, Level IIIa, and see how many panels it takes to stop them! This armor is NOT made to stop rifle rounds, it is rated to stop up to .357Sig and .44mag pistol rounds. I am amazed by how much these cloth panels will deform metal bullets. As a side note, some people think that silencers/suppressors slow the bullet down, but with a good suppressor, they actually speed them up a little bit, improving penetration. Demolition Ranch fires tracers at an AR500 steel plate that is coated to capture bullets and bullet fragments. Will the rubber coating burn/melt, or will it snuff out the tracer? Getting lots of comments about the leaves moving at 1:42. It's not a ricochet, it's the muzzle blast. It did it at 1:30 too.
