I love getting out on the water early in the skiff & even better is when a fishing plan comes together too! Took the skiff out myself for some early topwater action and the fish were fired up! Also had a few hiccups throughout my trip getting the boat stuck on bottom and having an unexpected rainstorm blow through. Safe to say it was an eventful morning! Super fun getting on these fish though, ya'll check this out! Whats life without a little adventure, right?! Went on a hike deep into the Everglades and came across a HUGE unknown lake and you will not believe what I caught! While keeping an eye on MASSIVE gators that were looking for an easy snack, it was back to back action on some of the most unique fish species living in the US. (Side comment, most of the species caught during this video are considered invasive, AKA not native to these waters, and just goes to show how species like this can take over an otherwise healthy & balanced habitat) Thanks so much for watching!! While reeling in a yellowtail from 150 feet down, an Amberjack decided to make that yellowtail into lunch and put me into a 20 minute fight with a new bigger fish on the line! Oh and the best part, I was only using a spinning reel with 20 lb line and 20 lb leader! This guy was also a PB weighing in at 50 lbs! Fishing out of Key West with Far Out Fishing Charters, it was non-stop action all day!! Tight lines! What a rush when I hooked into this huge Trigger Fish off one of the many islands that make up the Abaco Islands! Since we were surviving off the fish we caught on this trip, this Trigger fish was eating that night aboard our Catamaran Sailboat which was our home for a month. This was just one of the many amazing memories from this trip.
