When you're going rounds in racing, you'll eventually find yourself against the fastest car in the class. In this case, a 1500hp+ GTR rocking 68mm turbos and plenty of room to turn up if necessary. Little did I know, this was going to be the closest race of my life by far!! Well ~400 full-throttle passes later and we finally have our first broken part..I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner! This car took some SERIOUS abuse over the 5 week period I had it back from AMS Performance. I made dozens of street launches, half mile runs, 1/4 mile passes (on Jason Miller Prep..) and hundreds of full-throttle hits in-between. If everything goes right, we'll have it back in time for Race Week 1.0 and be able to put it to the test with a 5 day, 1,000 mile road trip, with drag racing every day! After diagnosing and fixing a spark plug issue, we've got the R8 back to full power just in time for the Kansas Airstrip Attack!
