We saw this gorgeous Mazda RX-7 last year at Drag Week 15' doing some kick-ass 8 second passes, and we were so happy to see it back again this year! Apparently, an 8-second Mazda wasn’t enough, so Rick ditched the old small-block Chevy motor, and swapped it out with a nice 555 cubic inch Chevy big-block motor. Paired with 2 Garrett, 88mm turbos, this little RX-7 is now being pushed to mid 7-second passes, trapping OVER 190mph! You never know what you will stumble into at a Street Car Takeover event! In this case, we came across a BEAUTIFUL big-block Camaro in Denver, Co. Equipped with two MASSIVE 88mm turbos stuffed into the grill, a wheelie bar, and a parachute, this beast breaks necks at every track it goes to! Not a street car? You might think - but this beautiful Valiant Charger owned by John Faraone has DEFINITELY proven itself. Traveling all the way from Australia for his FOURTH Drag Week, John definitely went through hell and back this year. First, his car was held in US Customs for SIX weeks..until luckily it was released 3 days before Drag Week Started. Then, a crank trigger broke during his first pass, only to have a throttle body go bad on the road after day 2 - causing him to miss Wednesday completely, and spend 6 hours in a car park trying to fix the issue.
