We're reviving our homemade Lifan 200cc 5 speed shifter kart! We built this in 2018 and did 74MPH flat out with it. Not bad for 16 horsepower! This go kart is SO fast, but we never had a good place to ride it! Today, we're installing new wheels with turf tires on them, increasing the ground clearance and giving us more off road traction. We’re testing the top speed of the 200cc Lifan 5 speed shifter kart on a secluded stretch of road. We were expecting a top speed of 120+ miles an hour, but we were severely limited by gearing. The Lifan also needs performance modifications to achieve a speed of 100+ mph, as drag becomes a serious factor above 60 mph on these racing karts. Thanks for Watching!
