For the 2021 snowboard recommendation series we are looking back at every board I have ever tested and reviewed. In this video I highlight 5 freeride snowboards that are going to be a lot of fun for carving and going fast, as well as offer some solid float in powder. If you're looking for a board that charges at speed and can lay an arc with precision, I think these are some great boards to consider and can hopefully help guide you in the right direction while searching for your next board. Let me know what you think down in the comments below.

I think it's safe to say this is one of my favorite zones I have ever came across on my snowboard, and the conditions were perfect. This was the day after a really deep powder day, the snow had time to settle just a bit overnight, the sun came out, and we were able to find perfect untouched lines through trees and off drops. I was out snowboarding with my friends Bo, Andreas, Yanick and Rav, and we ran into Casey and Daly on our second lap! The resort we are riding is called Hanazono in Niseko, Japan and I highly recommend exploring it if you are in the area. I was also testing the Jones Mind Expander Snowboard and was very happy with how it performed. Overall dream day snowboarding in Japan.

Made it out to Keystone with a heavy crew for some snowboarding on Halloween. I found some great conditions for a mob carving session, made some turns, dug some trenches, sprayed some snow, but I was also able to catch up with some awesome people and have a bit of gear talk. Let me know what snowboard you're using this season for carving/freeride down in the comments, thanks for watching.

		Nitro Beast Snowboard Review

The Beast lives up to its name, and is an aggressive all-mountain/freestyle snowboard that will come through for even the hardest charging riders. Featuring a full positive camber profile and stiff flex, this snowboard will stand up to the largest features in the park as well as hold it's own as you explore the rest of the mountain. The biggest highlights I found on the Beast is the amount of stability that it offers, really allowing you to trust that the board will be there for you in sketchy situations, as well as pop. This is a lot of snowboard to handle with lots of energy and feedback, and I would recommend it for more advanced riders that want something solid to rip around on. Let me know your thoughts in the comments, thanks for watching.

In this video Ryan and I catch some early morning turns at Breckenridge and talk a little bit about what makes a snowboard good for carving. A positive camber profile is going to provide the snowboard with more energy and snap, a stiffer flex will give you more stability and carry you through higher speed turns without washing out, and a wider snowboard will give you the ability to lay over turns more aggressively. Ryan also points out that you can carve and make clean lines with any snowboard, but these things will allow you to progress and try carves you may not be able to on other snowboards.</a>
